10– On February 19, the iconic London gallery OXO Gallery hosted the photo exhibition "Ukraine. Life among sirens" (Ukraine Between the Sirens. Tribute to Odessa) of the world-famous photo artist Letizia Vanson. The project is dedicated to the tragic days of the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
The presented photos tell about the everyday reality of people, who live between air alarms, losses and hope. These are stories about pain and trials, but at the same time - about dignity, humanity and faith in the future, which Ukrainians keep even in the darkest times.
The exhibition caused a significant international response and attracted the attention of the leading media. The project received congratulations from representatives of the Royal Family and the Government of Great Britain. Diplomats were among the guests of the event, representatives of cultural institutions, journalists, artists and public figures.
The organizer was an art producer Yaroslav Bystrushkin on the initiative of the international cultural foundation Save Art International, which systematically works to popularize Ukrainian art in the world and support cultural initiatives during the war.
At the same time, the organizers emphasize:
all words of support, recognition and honors are addressed not to the authors and not to the project itself, and to YOU -
to everyone, who is in Ukraine today,
to everyone, who is at the front,
to everyone, who experiences war, cold, darkness and loss, but remains strong and indomitable.
It is courage, the stability and strength of the Ukrainian people became the main content and heart of this project.
Special thanks to Madame Ambassador of France for the visit and the "French day", which became an important event within the exhibition.
