OXO Gallery, London | 10 10–19 February 2026
From 10 to 19 February 2026 OXO Gallery in London will host this year "Ukraine. Between the Sirens" — a personal photo exhibition of the famous French documentary photographer Letizia Vançon, presented by art producer Yaroslav Bystrushkin and Save Art International.
The exhibition brings together an impressive selection of works from Laetitia Vançon long-running photographic series Tribute to Odessa (2022–2026), created during repeated trips to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Through deeply personal and empathetic images, the project documents civilian life, unfolding between air alarms, displacement and uncertainty, while revealing an extraordinary determination to preserve dignity, humanity and hope.
Instead of focusing on the front line, Laetitia Vançon photographs offer an intimate look at an everyday existence under constant threat. Her lens captures moments of youth, fragility, resilience and quiet courage, portraying society, forced to adapt to war, but which continues to live, to love and dream.
Laetitia Vançon, who lives in Germany, has international recognition for documentary works, dedicated to the themes of identity, youth and human consequences of global crises. She is a regular contributor to The New York Times; her photos were also published in The New Yorker, National Geographic, TIME, Vanity Fair, GEO, Der Spiegel, and M Le Magazine du Monde among others.
It was a turning point in her career 2022 year, when she documented the Ukrainian refugee crisis in Eastern Europe, and later performed her first task directly in the zone of active hostilities — in Odesa. Since then, Laetitia Vançon regularly returns to Ukraine, creating one of the most sensitive and coherent visual chronicles of civilian life during the war.
Her work has gained wide international recognition, including awards and honors: OPC (Overseas Press Club) Feature Photography Award, Lucie Foundation Honorable Mention, Leica Oskar Barnack Award shortlist, finalist of the World Report Award – Documenting Humanity, Pictures of the Year International (POYi) Award of Excellence, winner of the Sony World Photography Awards – Professional Portraiture, Siena Awards Storyteller winner, LensCulture Exposure Special Mention, Life Framer winner, finalist of the Bourse du Talent BnF and finalist of the Prix Pictet Storm cycle (London).
"Ukraine. Between the Sirens" is not just a photo exhibition, but also a visual testimony to the endurance of civilians, who live in war, — a reminder of that, that behind every headline are individual human lives, suspended between fear and faith in the future.
Hours of operation: 11:00–18:00
