Yaroslav Bystrushkin's book- "ART AND WAR"

Yesterday, 22 January, an online presentation of the professor's book took place on the Day of the Assembly of Ukraine, Candidate of Art Studies Yaroslav Bystrushkin - "Art and War".

The book describes the life and activity of prominent Ukrainian artists during different wars in Ukraine: First World War, Civic (Soviet-Ukrainian), World War II and modern Russian-Ukrainian.

She reveals, how war affects the artist, As through his works the author or performer transforms time and space, influences society and changes the socio-cultural state of the country. Particular attention is paid to the biographies and refinements of well -known directors, artists, actors, iconic domestic masters of theater, cinema and painting.

War is the time, when the artist becomes a public figure and a moral guide of the nation, inspires the people to fight and resolutely resist the invaders. Art becomes a weapon, fills national politics with meaning, asserts the truth and determination of the struggle for freedom, the right to a free life and justice.

The author emphasizes, that the book will be printed immediately after the end of the current one, the third war by the book. According to him, he is sure, that it will happen this year!
